Sheila Adams, Executive Director
Sheila began as the executive director at Meals on Wheels Fort Collins at the beginning of April 2011. She couldn’t be more excited about this wonderful organization and this truly unique opportunity to impact our local community. Sheila comes to Meals on Wheels with a passion for helping others and the desire to apply her time and effort to this amazing organization. She has held several positions throughout her career that have helped prepare her, both personally and professionally, to take on the challenge of leading this organization.
Nora Kohuth, Program Coordinator
Nora has been an integral part of the Meals on Wheels Fort Collins team since April of 2010. Forty years ago, she kicked off her career with a meals on wheels program in Grand Forks, North Dakota as a menu planner. Over the next several years, Nora worked in various positions in which she utilized her accounting background and care giving knowledge. As a long-time resident of Fort Collins, her knowledge of the local area, makes it possible to create efficient delivery routes. Our program is fortunate to be have her as a dedicated member of our team.
Dana Guber, Program Coordinator
Dana is the newest member of the Meals on Wheels Fort Collins team! Inspired by both her grandmother and mother, she has volunteered for over 8 years at Meals on Wheels of Boulder. She gained a lot of valuable experience (including a lot of time in the kitchen!) working with the Meals on Wheels staff in Boulder and is excited about what she can learn from the Fort Collins team. Dana has always had a passion for helping people obtain a better quality of life and has volunteered with numerous organizations from a young age.
Mary Nittmann, Director Emeritus
Mary, founding director, has worked for Meals on Wheels since 1969 when she was hired as the agency’s first Director. Before Meals on Wheels she worked in Social Work. She now works part-time as one of our Program Coordinators and “still enjoys working with the program, after 42 years. She and her husband have been married for over 50 years and have two sons and three grandchildren. One of their greatest pleasures is world travel-they plan an overseas trip every year to a new country. The Nittmann’s spend their summers in the Red Feather Lakes area—boating and fishing. They feel that Fort Collins “affords a high quality, rewarding lifestyle.”
