Grant Received from Subaru “Share the Love” Event!

We are proud to announce that we received a $250 grant from MOWAA for via the Share the Love event that took place over the holiday season!  We are so grateful for the support of Subaru of America and our local dealer, Dellenbach Subaru!  Thanks for your support of our program!

2012 Holiday Appeal Shows Community Support of MOW

After sending out our holiday appeal to our wonderful supporters, Meals on Wheels has raised over $31,147.42.  With generous gifts still coming in, we would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to the cause of feeding homebound individuals in Fort Collins.  We couldn’t do it without you!

A Special Thank You! 

We would like to give a special thanks to all the Girl Scout Troops involved in stuffing and collecting items for our client Christmas stockings!  It is always a fun surprise for our clients to receive such thoughtful gifts from caring community members.  We had overwhelming donations this year of stocking items from Girl Scout Troops, volunteers and community members.  We even had beautiful hand decorated stockings from Laurel McClellan! Thank you for making this holiday season extra special for our clients! A special thanks to Sarah Roberts for helping to coordinate this project!

We are  proud to announce we have partnered with Dellenbach Subaru this holiday season to help raise funds for Meals on Wheels programs across the nation. This local effort is part of the Meals On Wheels Association of America’s (MOWAA) participation in the national Subaru of America, Inc. “Share the Love” Event.

The Subaru “Share the Love” Event runs from November 21, 2012 to January 2, 2013.   Subaru is donating $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased during “Share the Love” to the customer’s choice of one of five charities, including MOWAA. Over the past four years, proceeds from the Subaru “Share the Love” Event have provided funds to MOWAA to support its vision to end senior hunger by 2020.
